Gifts of the Holy Spirit

1 Cor. 12:8-10 NKJV
For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, to another the word of knowledge through the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healings by [a]the same Spirit, 10 to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another discerning of spirits, to another different kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.


Word of wisdom 
“sophia” wisdom (properly, "clarity")

Word of knowledge
“gnósis” a knowing, knowledge
functional knowledge gleaned from first-hand (personal) experience, connecting theory to application   

Faith 
“pistis” faith, faithfulness, belief, trust

Gifts of healing
“iama”  healing, curing, remedy.

Working of miracles
“dunamis” power, might, strength
(a) physical power, force, might, ability, efficacy, energy, meaning (b) plur: powerful deeds, deeds showing (physical) power, marvelous works.

Prophecy
“prophēteía” properly, what is clarified beforehand; prophecy which involves divinely-empowered forthtelling (asserting the mind of God) or foretelling (prediction).

Distinguishing of spirits
“diakrisis” the act of judgment
“pneuma” wind, spirit, breath

Speaking in tongues
“glóssa” the tongue, a language
tongue, used of flowing speech; (figuratively) speaking, inspired by God

Interpretation of tongues 
“herméneia” interpretation
translation, interpretation, explanation


1 Cor. 12:28 NKJV
And God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues.


Apostles
“apostolos” a messenger, one sent on a mission, an apostle
a messenger, envoy, delegate, one commissioned by another to represent him in some way, especially a man sent out by Jesus Christ Himself to preach the Gospel.

Prophets
“prophétés” a prophet (an interpreter or forth-teller of the divine will)
a person gifted at expositing divine truth.

Teachers
“didaskalos” an instructor, teacher, master.
a teacher, an instructor acknowledged for their mastery in their field of learning; in Scripture, a Bible teacher, competent in theology.  

Helps
“antilémpsis” a laying hold of, help
 ministration; one who aids

Administration
kubernésis: steering, government, administration
 steering, piloting, someone who steers (guides) a ship

Drink
“potizó” to give to drink, irrigate, water, to furnish drink, of being provided and satisfied.

Love
“agapé” love, goodwill, benevolence, esteem, seeks wellfare (wellbeing), love as an action
